Job Summary
We’re looking for a talented, detailed‑driven and analytical WordPress developer.
You will be responsible for transforming client requirements and project goals into robust, scalable and user-friendly WordPress websites.
This involves building, developing, customising and maintaining WordPress sites and themes, ensuring they are responsive, perform well and function smoothly.
You will also implement plugins, troubleshoot technical issues and work closely with designers and content creators to deliver engaging and seamless digital experiences.
Academics and Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related equivalent field.
- Candidates without a degree may be considered if they can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and proven agency experience in WordPress development.
- 2+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Agency experience is a plus.
- Strong portfolio including detailed case studies showcasing the design process, from problem definition and research to the final solution, as well as successfully launched WordPress projects featuring custom themes, responsive designs and e-commerce solutions.
- Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a practical assessment.
- Expert proficiency with WordPress core, themes, and plugin development, as well as page builders such as Elementor or WPBakery.
- Strong understanding of HTML, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (including jQuery), PHP, and MySQL as they relate to WordPress development.
- Skilled at translating design mockups (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) into fully functional, pixel-perfect WordPress sites.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs, Custom Post Types, and Advanced Custom Fields to deliver tailored site functionality.
- In-depth knowledge of WordPress best practices, security standards, performance optimisation, and SEO fundamentals.
- Knowledge of website optimisation techniques (e.g., image compression, page speed optimisation).
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN).
- Familiarity with broader Content Management Systems (CMS).
- Knowledge of CSS frameworks (Bootstrap, Foundation).
- Advanced problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Solid time-management and organisational skills for managing multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Emotional intelligence.
- Good command of English and Arabic.
